Six presidential aspirants of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has dropped out from the Presidential race as they step down for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the ruling party.
This was made known by the aspirants at the party’s convention at Eagle Square, Abuja.
Those who have stepped down so far include: immediate past Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Senator Godswill Akpabio, Ekiti state Governor Kayode Fayemi, former House of Representative speaker Dimeji Bankole, Jigawa State Governor Abubakar Badaru, Deputy Senate Majority Leader Senator Ajayi Boroffice and former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
But Ogbonnaya Onu, the former minister of Science and Technology who is also an aspirant under APC refused to step down, said the right thing needed to be done.
Pastor Tunde Bakare just like Onu has also refused to step down, saying he’s set to be the 16th president of Nigeria.
