Two Nigerians identified as James Ifeanyi Ezenwali and Nneji Victor Otamba, both residing in General Trias, in the province of Cavite, Philippines, have been arrested and set to be deported back over violent and abusive behaviour.
The two were arrested on Wednesday, following complaints by their neighbours in Barangay Navarro that they are abusive and violent.
Philippines’ Bureau of Immigration (BI) intelligence, Chief Fortunato Manahan Jr said the duo have overstayed in the country and even refused to show and present their passports when apprehended.
BI commissioner, Jaime Morente further said that, “Nigerians were considered a threat to the society and should be expelled immediately out of the country”
The two are still in custody of the BI in Bicutan, Taguig City, pending when deportation proceedings are completed.
