The National Grid has again on Wednesday suffered another system collapse resulting in blackout in many parts of the country.
It was the 6th time a nationwide blackout would be recorded this year.
While some collapses were not made public because they lasted for a short period, many others were made public and lasted days in some cases.
Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) confirmed the latest development in a tweet on there official twitter page on wednesday.
“Dear esteemed customer,
“Please be informed that the current power outage is due to a system failure from the National Grid. The system collapsed at about 12:23pm today, 20 July 2022, causing the outage currently being experienced.
“We appeal for your understanding as all stakeholders are working hard to restore normal supply.”The electricity distribution company said.
It is unclear how many states are affected by today’s grid collapse.
