Yobe State government has affirmed its rediness to train over 13,000 people with various kinds of empowerment support in the weeks and months ahead.
The state Commissioner of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation, Mr Abdullahi Bego, stated this yesterday when he hosted the Association of Mobile Phones and Allied Products Traders of Nigeria (AMPAT), Yobe State chapter, in his office
He said in a bid to boost the socio-economic activities of the state, Governor Mai Mala Buni is poised to support mobile phone business persons in the state.
He assured the commitments of Buni’s administration to providing material and training support to AMPAT members.
Our ministry will work closely with Mobile Phones and Allied Products Traders of Nigeria and the Yobe Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA) to provide tools, kits, and training,” he said.
“More AMPAT members have the knowledge and skills you need to become more nimble and more professional in your chosen businesses,” he added.
Earlier in his speech, AMPAT’s chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Kachallah, said the association has more than 10,000 members across the 17 local government areas of the state and that more youths are turning up to join GSM phone-related businesses.
