The unfortunate incident occurred during casting, and resulted in a few injuries. Fortunately, there were no fatalities. Engr. Tayo Bamgbose-Martins, the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, was quick to arrive at the scene to evaluate the situation and initiate an investigation. The ministry will provide further information as it becomes available, and the public is urged to remain calm.
As per a bystander, a few laborers leaped from the upper levels of the structure moments before it crumbled to the ground. Additionally, a group of children who happened to be strolling nearby barely evaded the catastrophe.
