JAMB Releases Results for Over 84,000 Candidates Who Sat for Rescheduled UTME Mock Exam
Following the successful conduct of the rescheduled Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock examination, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results for over 84,000 candidates who participated in the exercise across 387 centres in the country.
In a statement released yesterday by JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the mock exam and assured candidates that their results have been released. However, JAMB also reiterated that the results for the main UTME would not be released piecemeal but rather in a holistic manner.
Candidates who participated in the rescheduled UTME mock exam can now proceed to check their results on the JAMB portal.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the results of the recently concluded eight-day exercise will be collated before being released to candidates. It should be noted that while JAMB had conducted a mock examination on Thursday, March 30, 2023, some candidates could not participate due to technical challenges. The mock examination was introduced by JAMB to assess the readiness of its facilities and provide candidates with hands-on experience of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment. In a statement released by the board, it affirmed its commitment to transforming the conduct of public examinations in Nigeria through necessary measures.
The mock examination was successfully conducted, and the challenges encountered during the process were deemed necessary learning experiences. The Board has consolidated the software and is now equipped to provide Nigerians with an improved system. The results of the examination have already been released, although the Board emphasizes that the prompt release of results for the mock examination will not be replicated during the upcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scheduled to commence on April 25, 2023.
