After underwater robots scoured the area near the Titanic wreck in search of the missing submersible, a “debris field” was discovered. Although rescuers were optimistic about finding survivors, their hopes were dashed when this development came to light. The US Coast Guard tweeted that experts within the unified command are assessing information on the discovery. The debris field was found by an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) within the designated search area near Titanic, as stated by coast guard officials who will provide more details during a press briefing scheduled later today in Boston.
