The Labour Party has slated Friday to announce Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as running mate to Peter Obi, LP’s presidential candidate for the 2023 General elections.
Senator Baba-Ahmed is the Proprietor of Baze University in Abuja and Baba-Ahmed University in Kano State.
The unveiling of the vice presidential candidate was initially slated to be done on Thursday at the Labour Party’s national secretariat by the party’s presidential candidate.
The ceremony couldn’t hold as planned as the presidential candidate who traveled to Maiduguri and expected to be back Thursday afternoon had his flight cancelled.
Barrister Julius Abure, the party’s National Chairman announced that the unveiling of Mr Obi’s running mate was rescheduled for Friday July 8 at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
