Bola Ahmed Tinubu the All Progressive Congress (APC) hops on Peter Obi’s ‘Labour Challenge’ after the derogatory comments he recently hauled on Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Obi’s followers.
‘Labour Challenge’ is the new hashtag trend on all social media platforms right now by Nigerian Citizens loyal to the cause of the Labour Party, they are showcasing their endeavours to confirm the saying that there’s “dignity in Labour.”
Ahead of the Saturday Osun Governorship Election, Tinubu during the APC campaign rally, referred to the Labour Party as a “mushroom party,” saying its loyalists will Labour till they die.
Obi reacting to Tinubu’s comment at the Labour Party rally for its governorship candidate said, “Labour people who are working hard have not been paid. Somebody said that they can Labour till death. When they talk like that, when they show you hatred, Labour Party will show them love.
“Labour Party wants to move Nigeria from consumption to production. You cannot do production without Labour, so there’s dignity in Labour, and those who have laboured will get their reward.”
Obi’s dignity in Labour response to Tinubu’s comment was well recieved by his supporters who wasted no time to create a ‘Labour Challenge’ hashtag that has spread widely on social media platforms in the country.
Tinubu, who may be seeing this as a way to correct what he said took to his official Facebook page and wrote:
“Working hard to secure our future, one for all Nigerians, for our families and our great Nation. Hard work is Nigerian. Proud to be working hard with Nigerians by my side.” Which ended with the hash tags #labourchallenge and #BAT23
