Actor William H. Macy Accused of Trespassing and Tree Removal Without Permission, Faces $600,000 Lawsuit
Los Angeles resident and neighbor of the famous actor, Pierce Brown, has filed a lawsuit against William H. Macy for allegedly hiring workers to remove trees on his property without his consent. According to the plaintiff, the workers went overboard and cut down trees that were not Macy’s property, resulting in damages that exceed $600,000. This comes shortly after Macy was involved in a college admissions scandal.
A property dispute has arisen between a homeowner and Macy’s, the retail giant. The homeowner, identified as Brown, claims that while he was out of town, Macy’s workers trespassed onto his private property and destroyed several healthy, mature pine trees and other vegetation. Upon his return, Brown allegedly witnessed the destruction and filed a lawsuit against Macy’s.
According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred when Brown was on vacation and unable to prevent the workers from cutting down trees, bushes, and foliage on his property. The lawsuit further alleges that the workers also damaged the gate that connected the two properties.
Brown is seeking damages from Macy’s for the destruction of his property. Macy’s has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
Actor from “Boogie Nights” recognizes the work that was done, but accuses his famous neighbor of intentionally causing damage, despite the neighbor insisting it was an honest mistake.
